Detour Gallery is a 10,000 Sq.ft. Contemporary art gallery located in Red Bank, NJ. Our collection consists of an extensive selection of artwork handpicked by its Founder over the past 50 years. Detour Gallery was established with love for the arts and with the passion for helping the artist. We are committed to providing a setting where the artist can do the one thing they need to do - create. Meanwhile, our gallery offers the platform to showcase and sell their work to a global audience. We have enabled ourselves to do so by creating a model that is entirely different from what one might know as the norm of a typical art gallery. First, no consignments. We buy the artwork from the artist, allowing them to make a living whether the work sells or not. Second, little overhead. We pay no rent and have only one employee, therefore no second factor in determining our pricing on the artwork. These circumstances have empowered us to gather a vast collection of artwork of all mediums and genres. We have works from both established and lesser-known artists, presented in a setting that is both pressure-free and shy from exclusivity. Our pricing is mostly in the $200-$20,000 range. And our goal is to help you find great works of art at reasonable prices as well as enhance the profile of these great artists.
