We are a 100% volunteer, non-profit organization whose mission is "to provide efficient and effective emergency response services and awareness programs to the people inhabiting, employed and visiting in Douglass Township; in order to mitigate hazards and preserve life and property, as requested by the municipality, required by statute, or deemed necessary by the Chief Officers." The volunteer Firefighters of the Gilbertsville Fire & Rescue Company carry on a fine, time-honored tradition of selfless service, professionalism, excellence and dedication to the Gilbertsville community and the to the fire service as a whole.
