Livelihood NW provides exceptional business development support services to promote lifelong learning, empowerment, and positive economic impact for emerging, minority and women-owned businesses. As of January 1, 2019, the BOP formally separated from PSU, and rebranded as Livelihood NW. Livelihood NW continues operations as an independent non-profit, yet carries forward twenty-six years of experience, partnerships, and a strong reputation to continue to fulfill its mission. PSU and Livelihood NW continue to maintain a public/private partnership, with the separation of entities. Livelihood NW provides free, & low-cost, business consulting and technical assistance to small business owners, specifically low-to-moderate income individuals, BIPOC, women, and the LGBTQ+ community, through professional and intensive one-on-one consulting support, as well as through workshops, trainings, peer-based learning opportunities, and resource referrals to other community professional networks. Services include, but are not limited to the following areas: business foundations, business planning & strategy development, market research & analysis, marketing strategy & planning, pricing & costing, financial analysis & loan packaging, accounting system setup & training, operational systems development & implementation, human resources support, small business forums & peer networking events, and resource & referrals to other professional services within the community network. Recipients of Livelihood NW’s support demonstrate strong community and economic impacts through measurable metrics including job creation for themselves and their communities, business retention, increased net wealth, capital access, and more.
