The John and Willie Leone Family Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering (EME) is a unique department with world-class faculty experts in science, engineering, economics, and statistics to encompass the range of disciplines required for the energy and environmental challenges of today and for the next century. From mineral recovery to its use, EME plays a major role in the "power of life." We offer a wide range of degree programs, which serve our mission to help supply society with an affordable supply of energy and minerals, work to ensure human health and safety, and protect and maintain the quality of the environment. We produce energy and business professionals (EBF), energy engineers (ENENG), environmental systems engineers (ENVSE), mining engineers (MNGE), and petroleum and natural gas engineers (PNGE).
