Pankh is headquartered in Chikodi - Karnataka . Our Vision at Pankh is to provide “Pankh” or wings to the needy underprivileged women , to help them grow, develop and “fly” in life. A part of the profit made at Pankh handicrafts is put back into the society through various donations carried by Pankh foundation . Pankh Foundation has been helping the needy through regular year long projects . The initiatives for donations are KANYA VARDHINI YOJANA - An initiative to raise rural girl children upto the age of 21 by sponsoring their entire education. PANKH PATHSHALA - Engaging free training and coaching sessions for rural children. HAPPY SCHOOL KITS— Free school kits which include bags, stationary, mats, napkins, books are distributed to underprivileged children WINTER COAT DONATION DRIVE — program carried out from November to January to distribute free winter jackets BLANKETS OF LOVE — free blankets are distributed to slums and disaster areas . HAPPY AND SAFE PERIODS — free reusable sanitary pads distributed to adolescent underprivileged girls along with awareness . SPREADING SMILES INITIATIVE - Donation of groceries and other necessary items during natural calamities KITS OF LOVE - Donating baby kits to ladies after delivery with baby essential clothes and items . The uniqueness of these projects is that majority of the products donated are fabricated at Pankh. So it is a double charity, as these donations not only benefit the poor children but also provide employment to the underprivileged ladies. More than 2500 women and children have been helped through our initiatives.
