We use the creative arts to empower, innovate and educate underserved students and adults in North Texas. By unpacking the connections that exist between music and math, as well as language, we work with students to improve their literacy and their overall engagement and retention. Originally founded in 2012 by Berklee College of Music graduate Joseph Vincelli, The Artist Outreach has recruited multiple teaching artists to increase opportunities throughout North Texas. We serve over 23,000 students and offer more than 600 classes annually by partnering with over 50 different schools and education sites. Teachers have remarked on the efficacy of our teaching artists and programs: "I love that this program incorporates our curriculum and what we are learning in class with music!
