Headwaters Academy is Bozeman’s only private, independent middle school for students in grades six through eight. Headwaters Academy was founded in 1990. It has evolved over the years into a school that focuses on strong academics in a caring and supportive environment. At Headwaters, we recognize the importance of nurturing the academic and personal growth of the middle school student during these critical developmental years. Our teachers take advantage of the small class sizes and motivated students and embrace all that is Bozeman. They often take their classes to the mountains, rivers, MSU, and out into the community to provide our students with an amazing educational experience.
