CSF was founded in 1949 and has been serving the Fellowship of Evangelical Churches (FEC) for over 60 years. CSF provides opportunities for investments in Investment Certificates at rates determined periodically by the Board of Directors. Funds generated from Investment Certificates are used to support the mission of CSF to provide loans to FEC churches and affiliate corporations for buying, building or renovating facilities. Also, CSF operates scholarship programs and gives support to FEC organizations. All of this activity serves to expand the visible body of Christ by enhancing the ministries of FEC.
