Mr Shaw established his commercial painters and decorators in 1959. At that time the company specialised in the decoration of pubs, clubs and retail units. In the 60 years since Mr Shaw’s commercial painters and decorators was established the company has expanded way beyond anyone’s expectations. When Mr Shaw retired in 1991 the business was purchased by Crown Point Decorators based in Leeds. Crown Point had expertise in industrial and buildings of multiple occupancy – hotels and newbuild flat – decoration. This strategic move allowed the company to expand into a wider area covering more of Yorkshire as well as expanding on the sectors in which the company excelled.
