JBK Hardware originated in January of 1991 and opened for business in March of 1991, as JBK Servistar Hardware, in the Kent Plaza Shopping Center. The name was changed to True Value in 2000 due to a corporate merger between the 2 buying groups. The business was expanded and relocated to its present location in October of 2000, at which time the rental store was also opened. In October 2013, JBK changed from True Value to Ace and is now known as JBK Ace Hardware & Rental.
