RAMBUTAN is a new Sri Lankan restaurant opening in Borough Market. Off the back of her cookbook of the same name Cynthia Shanmugalingham is seeking the right leadership talent to excite and delight London's dining scene with one of the world's most unsung cuisines. We are building a happy, diverse, & motivated opening team where everyone can contribute their creativity and everyone is given the opportunity to continue learning. We will celebrate what you bring to our table and nurture the skills and talent you seek to develop. Our philosophy is about putting our staff first, so that they can best take care of others. We value our relationships with amazing producers and suppliers, affording us the best goods for cooking Sri Lankan food simply and seasonally. We especially welcome applications from women LGBTQIA+ Black people and people of colour. You don’t need to be experienced in South Asian cooking but if you have a passion for it or for Sri Lanka we would love to hear from you. Our culture isn’t stuffy or formal but is genuinely warm and professional. We believe in looking after each of our team members so that you can confidently enjoy sharing the Rambutan experience with our guests. This means providing generous support cross-department trainings and regular tastings so each team member has a more holistic understanding of what Rambutan will bring to London dining. We have a very clear zero-harassment zero-bullying policy with clear arrangements for who and how to talk about any issues at work. We have two set performance and pay review dates a year and we are clear and transparent about tronc promotion and salary. We’d prefer if you have experience but we are open to people who are keen to develop and grow. We pay overtime.
