For four+ decades, Chicago's own New Colony Six (NC6) has been the undisputed leaders of the Windy City's 1960's Rock Revolution. With the release of their self- penned single, "I Confess", in November 1965, NC6 became the first Chicago-area group to successfully place a hit record on both the local & national charts. Utilizing their vast & well-honed musical skills, the Colony achieved a string of 14 more local & national charted hits that lasted well into the mid-1970's. #1 hits & gold records, "I Will Always Think About You" (1967) & "Things I'd Like To Say" (1968), both became Billboard "Top 20" smashes, each a million seller. As a result, NC6 spent a staggering total of nearly 200 weeks on Top 10/Hot 100 record surveys. The group enjoyed national television exposure through appearances on The Mike Douglas Show, Upbeat, Lloyd Thaxton's "Showcase '68", & dozens of syndicated programs. In 2002, the band was honored by induction into the Iowa Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Further, immense fan loyalty resulted in the release of SEVEN CD compilations of the Colony's career to date - from Japan, the UK and the USA. Today, NC6 continues to amaze, dazzle & delight fans of all ages in their concert performances throughout the Midwest, with occasional trips to either Coast - positive proof that more than 45 years later, the magic of "Colonization" STILL runs rampant. Welcome to the exciting sounds of NC6. May we please entertain our fans in your community this year? Call or write!
