The official Linkedin page of the Kentucky Appellate Survey, a publication of O'Brien Whitt Publishing, LLC (OWP). OWP was founded in January 2014 by Edward M. O’Brien and Nicholas E. Whitt. The company’s mission is to publish quality content for use by attorneys, law clerks, judges, educators, government officials, policymakers, activists, and members of the public. The content published by OWP serves not only as a critical starting point for research on complex issues of law and policy, but by presenting content in a readable, concise, and practical way, is an indispensable resource for readers looking to keep up with the latest developments in those areas of greatest interest to them. OWP strives to deliver these vital services to our customers in a cost-effective way, mindful of both the desirability and necessity among law firms large and small (and their clients), solo practitioners, government agencies, businesses, and others to keep costs down. OWP is unique in that we focus on delivering maximum quality and quantity of content at a minimum cost. In May 2014, OWP launched its inaugural publication, the Kentucky Appellate Survey, Annual (KAS Annual). KAS Annual features detailed summaries and analysis of each and every appellate court decision from the Kentucky Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Kentucky, published and unpublished. The first KAS Annual installment is in the form of an annual survey for 2013. The 2013 annual survey edition of KAS Annual summarized, analyzed, and contextualized the over 1,500 opinions and orders from 2013, breaking down more than 20,000 pages of judicial opinions and painting a full picture of the appellate landscape. KAS Annual is unparalleled in the comprehensiveness, depth, and contextualization offered by its coverage, and is the starting point and a critical resource for any legal researcher in Kentucky. In February 2015, OWP launched the Kentucky Appellate Survey Monthly (KAS Monthly). KAS Monthly covers each and every appellate court decision from the Kentucky Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Kentucky, published and unpublished. KAS Monthly is published the first half of each month and covers opinions and news from the preceding month. Being published monthly, KAS Monthly serves as a more rapid alert than the KAS Annual.
