The Industries Commissionerate is the executive arm of Industries and Mines Department of Government of Gujarat. The office is entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of Industrial Policies of the State and Central Government.. The Industries Commissionerate acts as a catalyst for industrial development in the state by facilitating a conducive environment for investors and bringing about industrial reforms. It offers various incentive schemes and subsidies to the industries for development and upgradation of manufacturing and service enterprises. In case of natural calamities, the office offers various benefits and packages to the industries. The Industries Commissionerate spearheads the Ease of Doing Business initiative in the state. A dedicated Investor Facilitation Agency has been set up as‘Single Window Contact’for undertaking reforms for investor facilitation and grievance redressal. The agency facilitates faster, single point clearances by the means of an online Investor Facilitation Portal. In order to give impetus to development of a strong Startupecosystem in the state, a dedicated Startup Cell functions under the Industries Commissionerate. The cell functions to give assistance to startups, incubation centers etc. by the means of Startup Policy.
