H2Boat provides energy high-tech solutions, engineering consulting services, and training in the field of renewable energy sources and technologies. H2Boat is a spinoff of the University of Genoa, it have access to the Hydrogen Laboratory managed by the Thermochemical Power Group of DIME. It collaborate to the management of the HI-SEA Joint laboratory together with Fincantieri. The main field of specialization regards the marine applications of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, where the company is developing and selling its knowhow [1][3](HI-SEA Laboratory). The core product is an innovative system addressed to the leisure-boat market that uses hydrogen technology to make the boats, especially sailing boats, completely green and energetically autonomous, ensuring comfort and safety [2]. H2Boat SCaRL includes a business division called MoSES (Models and Solutions for Energy Sustainability) providing engineering solutions in numerical model development, long term monitoring, diagnostics, energy systems designing, Engineering Procurement and Construction services for renewable power plant including authorization procedures and National and EU cofounded project design and management. In 2018 H2Boat SCaRL aim to build his first sailboat prototype to show off during fairs and events and launch the scale-up phase with the introduction of its product into the market.
