Generations United (GU) empowers children of North Fair Oaks (NFO) & Redwood City (RC) to reach their full potential through Academic Enrichment Centers (AECs) that equip them to read and succeed. AECs are located around public schools, providing a safe afterschool venue where adult volunteers join with elementary-age students, impart literacy & study skills. Through local partners, AECs provide wraparound services, including English-as-2nd Language, nutrition, fitness, dance, personal safety, and emergency assistance amid family hardship, economic displacement, or immigration-related crises.
