The Electrochemistry and Electroplating Group (ECG) at Technische Universität Ilmenau is engaged in fundamental and applied electrochemistry and electroplating. In close cooperation with the Zentralverband Oberflächentechnik e.V. (ZVO) as well as a large number of business partners, a practical and industry-oriented combination of research and teaching is made possible. The ECG is involved in the master's program "Electrochemistry and Electroplating", which is unique in Germany. Here, students acquire in-depth expertise in the technology fields of electrochemical surface technology and energy storage and conversion, among others. The training profile of the master's program is tailored to the needs of the electroplating and surface treatment industry. In addition, there is a constant feedback loop between research and teaching. This interaction enables students to gain practical and up-to-date insights into research and industry.
