We’re developing Bristol Pay: a non-profit payment platform for our city. We believe we can build a fairer, greener and stronger economy for Bristol by empowering our city with a better way to pay. The money that currently leaves our city in commercial transaction charges will instead be used to run our non-profit platform, with any surpluses we generate being used to fund community and environmental projects in Bristol. Bristol Pay will also include a token scheme which rewards account holders for helping their community to meet Bristol’s One City Plan targets. Our goal is to provide a successful blueprint for local economies around the world.
