Science and Cooking is a wholistic learning centre around food. We strive to immerse kids in different learning experiences around food, which include scientific concepts, scientific thinking skills, problem solving, confidence building, communication, social sciences and social skills, amongst others. However, the program is more than just about science and cooking. It is not a program to find answers but it is designed to help kickstart an inquiring mind. Students are encouraged to wonder, ask questions, make mistakes, document, research, collaborate, find answers. A safe environment is provided to let kids get out of their comfort zone, take chances, make decisions on the fly, observe relationships and patterns, form strong bonds with each other, support and better each other, and be confident and independent leaders.
