Rock Lea Activity Centre is the popular headquarters of Peak Activities Ltd., established by Iain & Caroline Jennings and their team of outdoor education & outdoor pursuits specialists in 1985. It is located in private grounds in the very centre of the charming, unspoiled Peak District village of Hathersage. ( see http://www.iain.co.uk/rock_lea.htm ). The base is home to a dedicated team of very well qualified & experienced outdoor education and training specialists. The trainers at Rock Lea include a number of people who are fully qualified and experienced lecturers and teachers who also hold training and development qualifications. Each holds a wide range of National Gioverning Body coaching & instructing awards. Some of the programmes and events run by the centre are based at conference centres, hotels & hostels in and around the village of Hathersage - for example several companies using Rock Lea for Apprentices Training and a number of uniformed organisations (eg the police) have saved costs by basing their residential Apprentice and Cadets Development Programmes at recommended hotels & camping barns. Clients requiring comforts such as single en-suite four or five star hotel rooms, swimming pool facilities and deluxe conference facilities arrange for Rock lea's staff to work and run events from tried and trusted adjacent hotels and conference centres. Therefore the choice of where to stay is down to our customers to suit their various events' moods & budgets.
