Wallingford HydroSolutions (WHS) is a vibrant, employee-owned company of dedicated professionals. Founded by staff from the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (UKCEH) in 2004, from inception, our vision has been to be a growing and good quality provider of focussed environmental solutions to facilitate the sustainable development and management of the UK’s infrastructure. We moved into employee-ownership in 2018. Our employees are at the heart of what WHS stands for and embrace the company’s values, including the commitment to make significant donations to WaterAid each year. We made our first corporate donation of £36,500 in 2021 to help WaterAid reach communities around the world with clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene. WHS is well known throughout the UK as the developer of the hydrological tools and techniques used as industry standard. We provide Qube for the estimation of river flows within ungauged catchments and – working in collaboration with UKCEH – we are the providers of the WINFAP and ReFH2 modelling packages and developed and maintain the FEH Web Service.
