FELMI-ZFE besteht seit 65 Jahren und ist ein Forschungsverbund, der sich aus dem Institut für Elektronenmikroskopie (FELMI TU Graz) und dem Zentrum für Elektronenmikroskopie (Mitglied: ACR-Gruppe) zusammensetzt. Die Forschungs- und Dienstleistungseinrichtung bietet allen Interessenten aus dem universitären und industriellen Bereich ein umfassendes Spektrum modernster elektronenmikroskopischer Untersuchungsmethoden zur mikrostrukturellen und mikrochemischen Charakterisierung von anorganischen und organischen Materialien, elektronischen Bauelementen, pharmazeutischen und biologischen Systemen. FELMI-ZFE (Institute for Electron Microscopy & Nanonalysis/Graz Centre for Electron Microscopy) is one of the leading microscopy facilities in the physical and biological sciences; interdisciplinary research, teaching and industry services are the key to our success. We house some of the world’s best microscopes. Our broad field of activity – ranging from fundamental to applied research – sets us apart. We work in close cooperation with universities and enterprises throughout Europe. Know-how Transfer: we are constantly creating new knowledge and methods. We believe that it is our responsibility not only to support knowledge creation but also to share generated know-how and expertise. That is the reason why we put know-how transfer at the top of our list of priorities. Training & Microscopy Courses: we provide training on in-house instruments for SMEs who wish to purchase microscopes or use these instruments on a regularly basis and see the need to upskill their staff to become self-sufficient with their analysis (SEM & microanalysis, TEM & EELS). Teaching: our scientific staff gives lectures at the University of Technology covering different fields of research. We supervise bachelor, master & PhD projects. Microscopy Library: our library offers a large number of state-of-the-art textbooks and scientific journals about microscopy of materials & related subjects.
