Our name and inspiration comes from a quote attributed to Einstein:-“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” If you pause, and think of this quote in relation to modern lives, how many of us can say we are perfectly suited to the jobs we do and that we wouldn't want to safely explore other careers . We established Climbing Fish to support those motivated to do just that, those who may be at the top of their game but are still asking themselves the burning question “Is this all I can be?” Abraham Maslow defined this 60 years ago in his hierarchy of needs as self-actualization. That definition suited an era where 'rugged individualism' was fundamental on how we defined success. Fast forward to today and you are starting to see a different type of person emerge.
