Observatory helps organizations design and develop exceptional objects and experiences. We focus on creatively answering the problems and needs of people. Our work sometimes results in tangible products, but often the results are strategic and conceptual design exercises that help our clients define their future success. Our experience is broad; we have developed table top goods, furniture, personal care products, consumer electronics, office products, appliances, and structural packaging, as well as graphic design and interface development. We are comfortable working with these diverse medias as our approach focuses on developing a compassionate understanding of the needs and aspirations of the user, cultivating that knowledge through research, observation and analysis. We believe that creating an emotional connection between objects and individuals is more art than science.
