Wander In Dev
www.wanderin.devI'm curious, self-directed, and meticulous. I'm a problem solver. I guess my destiny was to become a software developer, but I didn't know it then. My business career started 30 years ago. I'd just graduated from college with a degree in electrical engineering. The first role I got had little to do with engineering and lots to do with business. That first role led to others of more significant responsibilities, which resulted in an MBA, 12 years of a successful career in multinational corporations, and 18 rewarding years running my businesses. So how did I end up as a full-stack developer? I've had a love affair with coding that dates back to my college years. By far, the classes I enjoyed the most involved coding, be it writing assembly language for a DSP-16 in a Signals and Systems project or taking an intro to programming course in Turbo Pascal in the Math Department. In the late 90s, I built a virtual supermarket using MS SQL Server and Active Server Pages. In 2003, I rebuilt the frontend as a Rich Internet Application using Flash and ActionScript. A supermarket chain successfully used my app for almost ten years. In 2012, I was introduced to Udacity and online learning. I got hooked. Nine years, three nanodegrees, and tens of courses later, I feel confident I can tackle any full-stack project that comes my way. So, what can I do for you as a full-stack developer? • I can design and normalize your application's database. • I can code a RESTful API with Python to perform CRUD operations in your database. • I can secure your API using a third-party solution or coding an authentication and authorization flow using JSON Web Tokens. • I can complete your application by building a frontend. • I write clear code and use automated tests to ensure the quality and maintainability of your application. • I deploy your application to a cloud provider. Message me if you have an interesting project and feel like I'm a good fit.
