Trawler Capital Management LLC (“Trawler”) is a Third Point Company owned by Frank Scavone and Daniel S. Loeb (Founder and CEO of Third Point LLC) via Third Point Real Estate Strategies LLC. In 2020, Frank was named Executive Managing Director of Third Point Real Estate Strategies LLC. Trawler is primarily focused on commercial real estate debt investments including mezzanine loans, B-notes and preferred equity. A foundational investment thesis of Trawler rests on the belief that subordinate loans associated with stabilized properties should outperform loans on transitional or development assets on a risk adjusted basis, and often on an absolute basis. The Trawler team has overseen more than $1 billion in CRE debt and equity positions since its inception in November 2016.
