Cambodia's Children Education Fund, Inc. (CCEdFund) is a non-profit corporation that provides educational opportunities for Cambodia's orphaned and high-need children by granting scholarships to exceptional schools for all levels of education. CCEdFund aims to promote peaceful social, political, and economic development in Cambodia by developing a professional class of leaders. After thirty years of war and a genocide under the Khmer Rouge, Cambodia remains an impoverished country that offers few educational opportunities to impoverished students. These students cannot afford to attend public school. Despite the extreme pervasive poverty in Cambodia, there are exceptional schools in Cambodia that provide progressive, child-centered educational experiences to students whose families can afford the tuition. By providing scholarships to these schools, CCEdFund provides exceptional educational experiences to high-need and orphaned Cambodian students who have exhibited dedication to their studies. After completing their education, CCEdFund's students commit to working in the public interest in Cambodia for a minimum of two years.
