Behandlingsskolerne is a private organisation that owns and runs 8 different day schools for children that demand special care and attention due to difficulties that effect learning and behaviour. Each school offers individualized learning plans for every student and the small classes enable teachers and psychologist to differentiate instruction for many learning styles. Children are accepted from the age of 6 to 15 (0-10 class in Denmark) and for the 16-24 year old, the school offer a special youth programme (STU) which is a 3 year education program. Behandlingsskolerne is 10 years old (est. 2003) and is widely recognized for its results which has made it one of the largest private school organisations of its kind in Denmark.
