The process from a wood block to a finished product is complex, and it calls for experience and in-depth knowledge of the wood fibre and its qualities. Having a culture of investing resources to evolve its own advanced products as well as add new products to the portfolio, makes Hunton the market leader for wood fibre-based construction solutions. Mother Nature gives us our raw materials, and this is why at Hunton we focus on the environment all the way from wood chip to the end user. For many years we have imposed demands on ourselves and our suppliers to ensure that the wood fibres we purchase come from forests with replanting programs. We continuously strive to reduce our CO2 emissions. For example, when we increased our production by over 10% and we did so without increasing our energy consumption. Business concept: “We will produce and sell natural and energy efficient building solutions based on wood and wood fibre”. Our main products will be based on wood and wood fibre from sustainable forests, regardless of whether they are merchandise or products of our own production or contract production.
