Camp Horizon is the first of its kind in Western Australia. Based on American Summer Camp models, we are not a ‘child care’ facility. At Camp Horizon we are committed to creating an experience for our campers in a challenging and supportive environment. Each of our campers are provided with individual opportunities for social, emotional and physical growth. Campers are empowered with choice – they choose their own activities and are encouraged to make choices within these activities as well. Camp Horizon counsellors work hard to inspire our campers to try new things, and develop creativity, independence and resilience. We believe in the importance of switching off from technology, which is why we promote a device free environment for both our campers and counsellors. This allows campers and counsellors alike to develop a deep and lasting understanding of our core values.
