Double L Livestock is Registered Red Angus breeder and commercial cattle operation focused producing high quality livestock through regenerative ranching. The ranch actively manages its cattle herd through rotational grazing practices to improve overall soil health with the objective of enhanced carbon capture and improved organic matter. Our cows are key to our success in improving soil health. The ranch eliminated the use of conventional farming and now uses a combination of multi-species cover crops and no-till farming practices as part of our grazing and soil health objectives. We also fired our fertilizer salesman and now depend on our cows and clovers to provide the nutrients for our pastures. Wildlife is also important part ranch management. We implemented an enhanced flood irrigation program for several of our pastures in partnership with Ducks Unlimited to provide critical habitat for return Spring migrating water fowl. The ranch also has nearly 50 acres of habitat set aside for upland birds, turkeys and deer, as well as many other critters. We also installed smooth top wire on the majority of our fences for safer deer and elk migration.
