The Mississippi Board of Pharmacy (MBP) was established by legislative action in 1920. The mission of the MBP is to protect and promote the health of Mississippi citizens by regulating and controlling the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of prescription drugs and devices. The MBP is comprised of seven pharmacist members, all appointed by the Governor. The members of the Board are assisted by an administrative staff headed by an Executive Director who is appointed by the Board
