India's marginalized producers battle formidable odds to eke out a fragile livelihood. To such producers, ALC India offers professional services delivered by a team of passionate individuals who have graduated from some of India's best institutions and chosen the road less travelled. Blending technical and managerial expertise, our services assist the economically marginalized communities to turn the odds in their favour and build livelihoods that are more certain, rewarding, and sustainable. In other words our primary aim to help primary producers help earn a larger share of the consumer rupee, which they very well deserve but do not receive due to a flawed system. As part of our efforts, we develop technical, managerial, and entrepreneurial skills and incubate enterprises that the communities own. We catalyze economic empowerment through: 1) a commitment to focus on the human being as opposed to just the sector, 2) a desire to reimagine livelihoods as opposed to old and outdated approaches, and 3) a bias to design significant solutions as opposed to sub-optimal solutions. This ensures that ALC India’s intervention maximizes the multiplier effect of the social investment. Today, we partner almost 65,000 marginalized producers, including small and marginal farmers, weavers, tribals and small livestock holders. We work in five states – Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Odisha, and Telangana. We carry out this work as partners of Governments, Collectives, Development Organisations, PSUs like OPGC, and Corporates like Tata Power.
