Established in 1983 as the Tourism Council of the South Pacific, the Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) is the mandated organisation representing tourism in the region. SPTO strives to weave a pathway towards positive futures to restore the fabled Pacific tourism industry to its former glory by partnering up with its members comprising Pacific Governments, public and private tourism sector organisations, national travel associations, national hotel associations, national airlines and National Tourist Organisations from across the Pacific.
