The school of Freudian psychoanalysis is a non-profit organisation whose object is the training of secular psychoanalysts in the tradition initiated by Freud. The basis of the work of the school of Freudian psychoanalysis is science. Association members treat the psychoanalytic material, in its clinical and theoretical sense, as a natural science, in line with the basic assumptions of the freudian doctrine. The aspects that best characterize the scientific work of the association are its methodological rigour (not to be confused with the blind application of a strict technique) which implies essentially logical and experimental protocols designed to give the analytic practice character of rationality (i.e. it can be tested and is refutable) and a solid epistemological apparatus which forms the basis for the construction of objectivity in psychoanalysis.
