CU-APPS is a wholly-owned CUSO formed by Providence Federal Credit Union that will contract with credit unions to consult on their fintech needs as well as design and maintain mobile applications for credit unions. CU-APPS is led by experienced credit union executives and forward-looking leaders Shirley Cate and Brett Wooden. Together, the Company’s executives have more than fifty years’ experience in the credit union movement. Shirley Cate is a 36 year veteran of credit union movement and the current President and CEO of Providence Federal Credit Union. Ms. Cate embraces collaboration, change, and growth; is well known and respected in the credit union movement; and has served on many boards and committees around the Northwest and throughout the nation. Brett Wooden has been in the financial industry for nearly 20 years, advancing from teller to Chief Operations Officer at Providence Federal Credit Union. Throughout his career, Mr. Wooden has thrived on helping others embrace and utilize technology and made national trade news in 2011 when he started using his iPad to make “field visits” to the sign-up new credit union members. Mr. Wooden has been named the Northwest Credit Union Association’s Young Credit Union Professional of the Year and was a Credit Union Times “40 and Under Trailblazer.
