Bamboo is the world's fastest growing grass and can be used in many industries. As an alternative to solid wood, there is no need for mass deforestation. This mass deforestation has a huge detrimental effect on our wildlife as well as increasing the amount of carbon dioxide in our environment, leading to an increase in global warming. Bamboo is also a sustainable alternative to plastic and can be used to produce many items which have traditionally been manufactured from plastic. Not only is bamboo a sustainable, biodegradable material but it is also less intensive in the manufacturing process compared to plastic production.
