In the polders on the left bank of the river Scheldt in Flanders, nature, heritage and human activities are under pressure. Due to nature compensation and the expansion of the Port of Antwerp many historic barns and farmhouses have been demolished or have seen better days. It is our vision that Nature, Humans, and Heritage can reinforce each other in a participative framework which may be achieved by restoring and repurposing heritage.
