Clubs SA was founding in 1919 and is a registered not-for-profit organisation which represents and develops the licenced Club sector in South Australia. Clubs exist to provide infrastructure and services for their community, and further a core purpose, such as the promotion of sporting or recreation activities or veterans’ welfare. Our members vary across metropolitan, regional and remote South Australia from small volunteer-run sporting or community Clubs through to very large Clubs with multi-million dollar turnovers. Licensed Clubs are Clubs who are licensed to supply liquor as part of their range of services. Clubs contribute to their local communities through the provision of employment, cash and in-kind donations, and through the development of social capital. Clubs provide an affordable range of services, facilities and experiences for local communities to enjoy, and mobilise tens of thousands of community volunteers each year. We promote policies and practices which support a complex and dynamic Club sector – we want Smarter Clubs and in turn Safer Clubs that can prosper in every community. Through our Corporate Partner and Supporter program, we offer companies and organisations opportunities to engage with the Club sector and develop relationships which in turn provide opportunities for business growth. Our Mission is to provide leadership and guidance to promote, advance and support the Club industry in South Australia through. Our Values as the peak body for Clubs in South Australia, is to lead by example and strive to demonstrate integrity, professionalism and excellence in everything we do.
