Simon Carves Engineering is a full-service Process Engineering Contractor, providing a comprehensive range of services to the Process and Energy industries worldwide. For over 130 years we have designed and delivered facilities for a diverse range of sectors including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, polymers, nuclear, biofuels and energy. Henry Simon established Simon-Carves with French engineer François Carves to modernise the iron and steel industry by pioneering the use of by-product coke ovens. At the start of the 20th century Simon-Carves was the leading British company building coke ovens and sulphuric acid plants. By the 1950s its operations extended to gasification, fertilisers, petroleum refining and petrochemicals plants. The last quarter of the 20th century saw Simon Engineering companies actively involved in pharmaceuticals and the nuclear industry. Today, Simon Carves Engineering is focused on providing specialist Engineering and Procurement Services in the Process and Energy industries. Providing engineering solutions for the polymers, chemicals, renewables and nuclear sectors, Simon Carves Engineering exercises the benefit of our decades of experience and knowledge in the delivery of our projects. We operate out of our purpose-designed premises in Manchester, UK. Our parent company Engineers and Constructors International, Inc. (ECI) is part of Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding Ltd, a global conglomerate.
