Resolution Systems Institute
www.aboutrsi.orgResolution Systems Institute (RSI) is a unique nonprofit whose mission is to strengthen access to justice by enhancing court alternative dispute resolution (ADR) systems. RSI works directly with state and federal courts throughout the US to develop, monitor and evaluate quality court ADR programs. We have decades of experience and unrivaled expertise in court ADR research and evaluation, and we are able to customize plans to meet courts’ needs. In addition, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, RSI established and continues to administer video mediation programs in three judicial districts serving over 920,000 Illinois residents. We have developed and administered three foreclosure mediation programs in Illinois since 2013, two of which we have since handed off for in-house administration, and one of which, in Kane County, we continue to administer. We also operate one of only three child protection mediation programs in Illinois, helping to ensure children have safe, permanent homes. RSI’s free online Resource Center offers individuals working in court ADR access to expert guidance, ranging from our Court ADR Basics pages and Guide to Program Success, to Mediation Efficacy Studies, and Special Topics including Online Dispute Resolution; Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Access; Restorative Justice; and more. That’s all in addition to our evaluations of court mediation programs that handle cases ranging from foreclosure to trademark and small claims to child protection.
