Oakley Moore is a London based design practice known for bringing a versatile, client-focused, fresh and creative approach to interior design projects in the UK, Europe and Internationally. They specialise in creating bespoke innovative interiors for private residential and commercial clients. Set up in 2017 by Kate Aslangul, Oakley Moore is gaining recognition within the design industry; they were Winner of the Best Living Space - Europe in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2019 and were shortlisted for 3 other awards including International Interior Designer of the Year. After a lifetime in design, and known for creating considered interiors with personality Kate set up Oakley Moore as a culmination of her working life and passions. The approach to each project is client-led, investing the time to draw out their vision and understand their needs. The team understand that a home needs to be both a sanctuary and a reflection of the clients’ personality; to that end they work to understand the lifestyle of each client and how they will live in each space. The designers focus on layering, playing with texture, pattern, colour and scale; juxtaposing the old with the new to reveal the potential of their home to clients. Whilst convention will always be considered, as a designer by trade and a traveller by heart Kate believes that good design should not be constrained by boundaries or rules. Each project is overseen by Kate Aslangul from concept to completion. The collaborative ethos of the studio encourages openness and approachability to create individual schemes that are delivered with the greatest attention to detail. Recent projects include the refurbishment of a 7 bedroom chalet in Switzerland, a townhouse in Paris, a villa on the shores of Lake Geneva, a large country house in Worcestershire and several London town houses.
