Yamamah Steel was founded in 2003 with its head office in capital of Saudi Arabia (Riyadh). The company goal is to build an integrated steel complex including DRI, Melt Shop and Rolling Mills in one of the largest and prestigious industrial Saudi Arabia (Yanbu Al-Sinaiyah). Choice of building the complex on the west coast of Saudi Arabia is due to availability of main facilities like Power, Water and Natural Gas; also the use of sea port of yanbu city, its geographical location near to main cities of Saudi Arabia. Yamamah Steel started producing reinforced steel bars from its first high speed roling mill during 2008 with an annual capacity of 600,000 tons.
