Desktop Digital Lab
www.ddlab.netDDLab is part of a group of companies specializing in the photographic industry. Desktop Darkroom was founded in 1989. We were one of the first retailers who assisted photographers in converting film to digital, by providing the equipment, training and knowledge. Around the same time, we opened StudioCity Photography. StudioCity Photography has photographed thousands of dancers, youth sports athletes, high school seniors, business professionals, events of all kinds and various other types of photography. As our studio grew, and our relationship with Kodak developed through Desktop Darkroom, we purchased a Kodak LED printer and Kodak’s KPIS software to use with our own studio. We started fulfilling local orders first through our new lab, and in 1998 we unveiled Desktop Digital Lab, our full service volume photography photo lab. Today, we have roughly 550 non-local photographers utilizing our services at any given time, in addition to local retail walk-in clients. We have a staff which can grow in excess of 75 during peak months, but we employ 50 full time professionals. Most of our employees are cross-trained, which means they can be anywhere at any given time within our company… from shooting to selling to packaging to color correcting, and even designing. Our overall goal is to grow our business by helping you grow yours. We recognize the value of maintaining close relationships with our customers, and we know that by working together for the same goals, we will succeed.
