XPACE is an internationally operating practice dedicated to contemporary urban design and architecture. In practice as well as in research, XPACE stands for an interdisciplinary and integrative approach. The body of works stresses a claim on diversity and sustainability. To address current urban challenges, XPACE approach their projects holistically. We aim at developing models and typologies, which demonstrate an integrated position in both urbanism and architecture, to form a successful urban ecology. We understand ourselves as designers, who are able to understand different interests and issues and translate them into feasible site-responsive projects. Jointly, the two partners have more than 30 years of practice experience. Prior to founding XPACE in 2005, they have worked in responsible positions for renowned architectural firms on high profile projects in New York, London and Zurich.
