Venice, 2004. In a small exhibition space, Galleria Michela Rizzo opens with the aim of reviving the contemporary cultural scene. In 2008, the gallery moves to a larger and more fascinating space, the first floor of Palazzo Palumbo Fossati, a beautiful Venetian building from the 16th century. In 2013, a fresh new start: the gallery finds its new home in an industrial building, in the area of the former Giudecca breweries. This space allows the gallery to experiment even more, dialoguing with the venues through site-specific installations that disrupt the space. Over the years, Galleria Michela Rizzo produced a high-profile programme, through in-home exhibitions, partnerships with major international museums and institutions and collaborations with emerging and established artists and curators.
