False Bay Surf Lifesaving Club

www.fbslc.org.za

False Bay Surf Lifesaving Club was established in 1959, to watch over swimmers who might get into difficulty on Muizenberg Beach. Today, we are a non-profit organisation with that same mission, and still operating from our clubhouse on Sunrise Beach, with roughly fifty lifeguards on patrol, making sure all beachgoers are water safe. False Bay SLC offers voluntary and professional lifeguarding services. False Bay SLC boasts both world champion competitive lifeguards, as well as a quickly-growing bunch of nippers; kids training to become lifeguards. Training is fun-filled and every Sunday morning, and all are welcome to join in the fun. Becoming a lifeguard is a matter of being able to swim, attending first aid and lifeguarding classes and passing a lifeguard exam. Once qualified, lifeguards can do voluntary and professional duties, have access to all club facilities, take part in competitions, get their skippers license, and participate in a a wide range of activities. Visit us at our website: www.fbslc.org.za for more info about becoming a lifeguard, and come and enjoy the beach this summer! The clubhouse is situated on Sunrise Beach in Muizenberg, Cape Town.
