You Have the Power…Know How to Use It, Inc. is a not-for-profit agency whose mission is to empower those victimized by crime through education, advocacy, and understanding. Now celebrating its 25th anniversary, YHTP was founded in 1993 by former First Lady of Tennessee Andrea Conte, to advocate for victims and educate the community to prevent violent crime. YHTP is dedicated to raising awareness about crime and justice issues through victim advocacy, community education programs, brochures, and documentaries. Based in Nashville, YHTP is funded through private donations and grants.
