PBCSF (PBC School of Finance, Tsinghua University) China Insurance and Pension Research Center is a high-end research-based think tank, which belongs to the National Institute of Financial Research (NIFR). It is under the guidance of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC), and supported by the Insurance Asset Management Association of China (IAMAC) and other institutions. China Insurance and Pension Research Center concentrates on the research of insurance and pension in a comprehensive way. Our missions are to build: A research center with international leaderships, collaborations, and innovations; a talent-cultivating platform with industrial influences and high-end talents trainings; an innovations incubator connecting with the policy, the industry, and the academia. The main functions of our research center include: 1. Researching on the academy and policy: construct a global first-class research team, and publish the influential academic thesis, industry report for policy-making. 2. Training the high-end talents: help design MBA\EMBA and other high-level courses; promote talents’ training and cultivations in the insurance industry based on the rich educational resources and mature teaching system. 3. Establishing a communication platform: facilitate insurance industry elites to share ideas and insights through holding China International Insurance Innovation Forum, Tsinghua PBCSF Global Finance Forum-Insurance Summit, and a series of other activities. 4. Constructing the incubator with government and industry: launch the cutting-edge innovative research and practice to promote the industry, hatch a string of leading corporations. China Insurance and Pension Research Center follows the leadership of the board of directors. Cen Zhao, the associate dean of the PBC School of Tsinghua University, is the executive director. There are four departments, academia and policy research department, insurtech department, data center and operation department.
