The mission of the Department of Communication is to study and teach about communication, with areas of specialization that include interpersonal communication, persuasion, communication technology, nonverbal communication, and media effects. Our goal is to pursue theoretically grounded research and to disseminate knowledge by publishing our research and through teaching. The Department of Communication offers B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees in Communication.
